This simple, strikingly beautiful alphabet book presents an a-z sequence of Australian animals illustrated by the Aboriginal artist, Bronwyn Bancroft. Each upper-case letter of the alphabet is mounted on plain colour-washed background, with the name of the animal given below in lower-case. The animals, birds, reptiles and insects are pictured between this typography in bold silhouettes with intricate colours and decorative detail. A glossary would have been a useful addition, however.
