This well presented information book tells the true stories of 14 young asylum seekers from different parts of the world. As individuals, they are united by the courage and resilience they display in the face of disasters and persecution. Together, their stories give a sense of the international scale of movements of asylum seekers and the variety of host countries. Included are the stories of a Roma family from the Czech Republic, a family from Chechnya, and others from Africa, South America and the Middle East. The format combines photographs, varied texts, highlighted fact boxes, together with an introduction, index and glossary.
