The traditional tale of 'The Gingerbread Man' is adapted in terms of Jewish culture in this humorous picture book. A little Matzah man, fashioned from the special dough used at Passover, escapes from Mr Cohen, the baker, and runs off through a neighbourhood where everyone is preparing their festive meal. He teases his growing band of pursuers with boastful rhymes, until finally outwitted by a crafty young boy. A Passover glossary explains some of the special terms used in the story.`
