In this tale from the Ashanti tradition of Ghana, the gluttonous Ananse is treated to a taste of his own medicine, after he hoodwinks his old friend, Turtle, and prevents him from sharing a feast. Turtle effects his revenge with a similar trick, and teaches Ananse a lesson. Colourful full-page illustrations endow the characters with comic facial expressions, and enhance this witty re-telling.
