Anansi, Ashanti folk-hero, sets out on a journey, but twice faces disaster in the shape of a fish and a falcon. His six sons, each with his own special talent, devise ways of rescuing him. Anansi's own resourcefulness is tested when he wonders which son to reward with the glowing light found in the rainforest, and he calls on the Gods to guide him. The simple story is told primarily through pictures which use bold colours, African motifs and strong silhouettes, expanding the brief text.
