This retelling of a West African trickster story features a wily hare (the antecedent of the Brer Rabbit character) who is too lazy to help other animals dig for water during the drought-ridden summer of the Savannah. When he repeatedly steals their precious water by means of a cheeky prank, the animals seek their revenge by constructing a sticky trap for him, but hare still has the last laugh.
